Check out the Sources of Infection

most of this diseases are caused by germs such as virus, bacterium and protozoa, which are mostly found in dirty places, where the temperature and the atmosphere support their existence. These germs cannot be seen with the naked eye and not always through an ordinary microscope.
An electronic microscope is needed.

How they Enter the Body
there many ways by which these germs enter the human body. The entry could be through any open passage such as the mouth, nostrils, skin or ears, also through open sores, cuts or wounds and insects bites; by drinking impure water, eating contaminated foods, milk or fruit, or by wearing dirty clothes. Personal contact with sufferer may also be dangerous.

PREVENTION
Both personal and communal cleanliness go a long way to prevent the spread of these diseases. If every body obeys the rules of health and keep his home and surrounding clean, as well as his own body and his clothes, if he sleeps, rests, relaxes, takes nutritious food and has adequate exercise, he will acquire a degree of natural immunity to most diseases.
For healthy living, fresh air and sunlight are essential. Overcrowding should be avoided in order to prevent communicable diseases. Overcrowding makes a room to be hot, the supply of oxygen becomes reduced and carbondioxide which is injurious to the body if too much of it is taken in, will fill the room.
To prevent direct contact with people suffering from contagious diseases, isolation should be enforced. As soon as there is any sign of infection people should report immediately to the infectious diseases Hospital where adequate treatment will be given before serious damage is done.
