Pelumi Olugbenga, a quintessential 300-
level student from the Department of
History and International Studies,
Faculty of Arts,
Lagos state University,
has won Hessselben scholarship award
to attend leadership summit in United
States (US).
Olugbenga emerged as one of the five
newly selected Hesselbein International
Scholars from Africa who will
participate in the 2017 Hesselbein
Global Leadership Summit at the
prestigious Hesselbein Global Academy
for Student Leadership and Civic
Engagement, University of Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, United States of America
in July, 2017.
The Hesselbein Student Leadership
Summit would converge in Pittsburgh
for an intensive four-day experience.
Olugbenga's successful selection was by
no means an easy feat because there
were several applications from
accomplished university students across
the globe.
Meanwhile, it was just fifty student
leaders that were eventually selected
across the six continents of the world
with only five from Africa including
Pelumi Olugbenga as the new set of
Hesselbein International Scholars.
